Alcohol-free chouffe is brewed at the Achouffe brewery with as much passion and know-how as all the other beers in the range. This high -quality Belgian beer is a tribute to the brewing tradition of our country.

Unlike other beers, a special type of yeast is used in the production of alcohol -free chouffe, which prevents sugars from being transformed into alcohol during the fermentation process and maintains the alcohol content below 0.4 %.

We are often asked this question. The presence of this very low amount of alcohol is specific to the production process of fermented drinks. In fact, even smoothies or very ripe fruit juices may contain traces of alcohol. Did you know that some breads even contain more than 1% alcohol?

In Belgian legislation, all beers containing less than 0.5 % alcohol are considered to be alcohol -free. Alcohol -free chouffe contains a maximum of 0.4 % alcohol, which is why we can call this chouffe an alcohol -free beer.
