DESCRIPTION

THE Alcohol -free white wine 0.4% phenomenon is a thirst white wine based on Burgundy melon which is the unique grape variety of nutmeg.

It therefore offers lovers of dry white wine a remarkable flavor and almost identical to that of an alcoholic wine of the Muscadet Sèvre and Maine on Lie type.

It is rich in aromas, flavors and character, making it an excellent alcohol -free alternative.

"It is very fresh, very surprising and destabilizing, since we have removed the structural frame of wine which is alcohol, but we keep the tangy side that we have on muscadet with pear, white fruits and citrus fruits"Explains Stéphane Cottenceau, the winemaker of the Grenaudière Domaine

Specifics
A unique grape variety, melon B
Planted almost exclusively in Muscadet, the Burgundy melon is a compact clusters grape with small yellow bays. This grape variety produces dry white wines of a beautiful freshness.
Originally from Burgundy as its name suggests it, Melon B comes from a cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc.
This little aromatic grape variety reveals and lets express the diversity of the terroirs of Muscadet.

LIE farming, a tradition in muscadet
At the Grenaudière Domaine, wines are raised on lees between 6 and 60 months. We raise the wines in verred underground tanks. The very good thermal inertia of these buried tanks allows quality storage and breeding.
It is the culmination of meticulous and reasoned work from the vineyard until winemaking.
Breeding on LIE allows great stability to wines and optimal maturation which brings them fat and aromatic complexity.

PRODUCER

About the producer
Mathilde Ollivier and Stéphane Cottenceau represent the 8th generation of winegrowers at the Grenaudière Domaine taking over from Guy and Jean-Luc Ollivier. The first generations were polyculturers like the majority of farms at the time. Over time, family exploitation has specialized in the cultivation of the vine and the production of quality white wines of quality. For 150 years, 4 generations have followed one another to make the most of the Melon de Burgundy grape (Melon B) emblematic of Muscadet.
